Optical Switch
An optical switch for use with the Stoneridge Tachograph Programmer when calibrating vehicles over a measured distance. Typically the measured distance is 20m or 1km, but it can be any distance acceptable for the Stoneridge Programmer.

The optical switch is supplied with a 3.5m cable for direct connection to the Stoneridge Programmer. The switch attaches to the front or side of the vehicle and is connected in place of the mechanical switch described in the Programmer operating instructions. All power for the optical switch is supplied from the programmer - there is no need to connect to a vehicle power connector. The actual calibration test is carried out exactly as before.
Two reflectors are also required, one for each end of the measured distance. Suitable reflectors can be supplied as part of the complete kit.
