DigidownBase FAQs

The DigidownBase is provided with a USB adapter that will connect to any spare USB port on your computer.

The DigidownBase can be mounted with appropriate fixings anywhere convenient that overlooks the place where the DigidownBlue and DigidownCR units will be used. This can be any elevated point, indoors or outdoors.

There are no airtime charges for uploading using a DigidownBase. The DigidownBase connects directly to the DigidownCR and the DigidownBlue using Bluetooth.

You can send uploaded files to anywhere accessible from the PC running DigidownHost.

The DigidownBase is supplied with a 10m long cable. If required, this can be extended to 50m using standard CAT5 or CAT6 network cable.

In order to view and analyse your files, you will need appropriate tachograph analysis software. Please talk to your dealer for more information.

  • Press the Bluetooth button on your DigidownBlue. The DigidownBlue will be recognised by the DigidownBase and any downloaded data will be uploaded automatically.
  • The first time you upload data using your DigidownBlue, you will need to click 'Yes' on the DigidownHost software to accept the connection.
  • Download a smart card into your DigidownCR. Once the download is complete, the Bluetooth LED will begin to flash about once every two seconds while the unit searches for a Bluetooth connection. The DigidownCR will be recognised by the DigidownBase box and the card data will be uploaded automatically. Successful upload is indicated by the Bluetooth LED blinking briefly once a second.
  • The first time you upload data using your DigidownCR, you will need to click 'Yes' on the DigidownHost software to accept the connection.
