Digidown Host Setup - Linux

DigidownHost is a cross-platform app that enables remote authentication by managing communication between a company card and compatible Digidown devices connected to the tachograph. It supports multiple companies and cards, allowing remote access between a vehicle’s tachograph and its associated company cards.

1. Prerequisites


1. Debian based distribution (including ubuntu). x64, arm32 and arm64 architectures are supported.

2. Sudo access during install.

3. If using Raspberry PI, the minimum is PI 2 Model b with a 4gb SD Card.

2. Download repository


1. Plug in the Hyper Card Rack

2. Open a terminal

3. Add the Digidown apt repository to your trusted sources and install Digidown Host by entering the following command:

wget -O - https://lisledesign.com/downloads/drivers/DigidownHost/install.sh | sudo bash

3. Install Digidown Host


1. An installation screen should now be visible in the terminal. Follow the instructions on screen.

2. The Digidown Host Service will start automatically.

4. Check installation in Digidown Portal


1. Log in to Digidown Portal

2. Check that the light under the installation name is green. This means that Digidown Host is online and ready to authenticate.

Troubleshooting


If both lights are red under the installation name like the image below, check that the Hyper Card Rack is connected to the system running Digidown Host
