Product and Service Data Processing

In addition to information collected through our website, Lisle Design products and services may process data as part of their normal operation. Certain Lisle Design devices and platforms are designed to download and transfer tachograph data files from driver smart cards or vehicle units in accordance with regulatory requirements. These files may contain information recorded by the tachograph system, such as driver identification, driver activity records, vehicle identifiers and related event data. Lisle Design devices generally do not analyse or interpret the contents of these files. Their primary function is to securely transfer the files to customer-configured systems.

Storage and Retention

Depending on the product configuration, downloaded files may be temporarily stored either on the device itself or within Lisle Design cloud services. Some devices may store downloaded files locally for a configurable retention period (typically 30 days by default), allowing time for successful transmission or retrieval. Lisle Design also provides optional cloud services where downloaded files may be stored for customer collection. Where this service is used, files are typically retained for up to 30 days, after which they are automatically removed unless successfully delivered to the customer’s configured destination systems sooner.

Cloud Infrastructure

Lisle Design uses secure cloud infrastructure providers to host certain elements of its services. Our systems are hosted using Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure located within the United Kingdom (UK South region). Microsoft acts as a data processor for infrastructure hosting services.

Security

Lisle Design implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect data handled by our products and services. This includes encryption of sensitive data during transmission and encryption at rest within our server infrastructure.
